Prelude – Training Mission (Aerona)
Proving Grounds
The Academy at Tolaria West is home to some of the most advanced wizards and scholars in the world of Dominaria. As one of these wizards, you are required to participate in regular training sessions to improve your magical skills and demonstrate your tactical prowess against a number of supernatural threats. Now the time has come to once more prove your mettle and face the challenge the academy masters have set before you!
Objectives
Defeat your instructor, Delarque, by following his instruction in the top right corner of the screen. When you complete an objective, you will be given a new one. Delarque will summon allies to assist you, and you may summon creatures and cast spells from your spellbook.
Proving Grounds
In the world of Dominaria, on the western coast of the Aerona continent, lies the island of Tolaria West, site of an academy dedicated to the advanced theoretical study of magic. The instructors here often confront their pupils with new challenges for them to overcome through the use of magic.
You are a wizard at the academy, where you are a master of magic, but know nothing of Planeswalkers or the multiverse. Ignorant of the destiny before you, right now you want nothing more than to overcome your instructors’ immediate challenge.
Victory!
You have risen to the challenge of your instructors! You have proven yourself a powerful wizard, a true master of spells and summoned minions.
Pleased with your performance, you leave the training grounds and return to your studies and friends. Two of your closest friends, Lexa and Targen, are fellow wizards and researchers at the academy. The three of you have shared numerous adventures during your time together, but nothing can prepare you for the adventure yet to come.

Mission 1 of 5 (Aerona)
Through the Woods
The forest near Muronia is a shadowy, dangerous place full of fierce beasts and even fiercer people who are known to attack outsiders on sight. If you’re to survive your time in these woods, you must defend yourself by destroying their inhabitants before they can do the same to you. Beware the forest shamans and their trained wolves!
Use your starter spellbook or create one of your own by visiting the Spellbook section from the Home screen.
Objectives
Objective: Defeat all enemies.
Through the Woods
You’re a wizard in Tolaria West, where you conduct magical research with your friends Lexa and Targen. Lexa explains that she needs a demon horn from Muronia.
“I’d get it myself, but after last year, the faculty insist I remain on campus, and put a tracking spell on me to ensure I do. They threatened magic chains, but I’ve always been good at countering lock spells.”
Now you’re in the wood near Muronia. Targen has barged ahead, leaving you alone in a forest of hungry animals.
Victory!
As you defeat the last of the strangely aggressive animals, you hear Targen’s cry from deeper in the trees. Following his sounds of distress, you find yourself in a darker part of the forest, and hope you’ll be able to rescue him before it’s too late.

Mission 2 of 5 (Aerona)
Tangled Webs
Giant spiders have infested this region of the forest. Oversized cocoons litter the ground, evidence of the creatures’ past and future meals. Many of these cocoons are filled with nothing but bones, but one of them contains your friend Targen, who has been captured by the spiders. In order to save him, you’ll need to break open all the cocoons and destroy all the spiders—including those prepared to drop down on you from the trees above.
Objectives
Objective: Defeat all enemies and destroy all cocoons.
Tangled Webs
The forest is thick, hot, and dripping with sticky, oversized spider webs. Your friend Targen’s cries for help grow faint and strangled as he languishes somewhere ahead of you, and you realize he’s been captured in a giant cocoon.
Victory!
Targen gasps for air as you pull the last of the webbing from his face. “Thank you… My magic… I couldn’t…”
You explain to him that there’s a toxin on the webs that dulls the mind and weakens the body. He’s safe now, but needs to rest.
Targen understands. “Go on ahead. I’ll catch up when I’ve regained my strength.”
After making sure that Targen is secure, you press on through the forest, which eventually thins and gives way to the barrens of Muronia, where your destiny awaits.

Mission 3 of 5 (Aerona)
Crossing the Threshold
The swamps of Muronia are littered with the ruined fortresses, half-sunken keeps, and overgrown walls of those who have tried to conquer the marshlands and failed. Your quest has brought you to one such wall, protected by a witch and her minions. You need to unlock the wall’s mystic gate and defeat its malevolent guardians—especially the archer and his spell-casting mistress.

Binding the Beast
A dark sorcerer has summoned a demon in the swamps of Muronia. The demon is still trapped inside his summoning circle but is by no means helpless, as it can cast spells and summon minions of its own. To banish it, you must trigger all the obelisks with your Planeswalker.

In Chapter 2, the Gilded Cage, you’ll team up with Chandra Nalaar and unleash your Planeswalker spark, if you survive!

Chapter 1: Gilded Cage
Mission 1 of 5 (Aerona)
Rude Awakening
These mysterious mountains are home to the savage goblin tribes who make up for their small size with their frighteningly vast numbers. Large caravan may pass through safely, but when lone travelers find themselves amongst these red peaks, the goblins descend upon them en masse. All you can do is take out the goblins as they come, and hold out until the onslaught is over.
Objectives
Objective: Defeat all enemies.
Rude Awakening
“You awaken somewhere on Dominaria you’ve never been. There’s a goblin tugging at your boot. Another is pulling on your robe. When you move, they leap backwards and scream.
“”It’s alive! Kill it!! Kill it now!”” Countless more goblins across the mountain take up the cry: “”Kill it now! Kill it now!”””

Mission 2 of 5 (Aerona)
First Impressions
The treacherous Hurloon Mountains are fiery, violent, and unpredictable, and not the sort of place you’d expect to run into a Planeswalker—unless that Planeswalker is Chandra Nalaar. As much as you’d prefer not to battle the hot-tempered pyromancer, there’s no way you’ll go down without a fight, If you want to leave these mountains unburned, you must defeat Chandra.

Forest for the Trees
The forest elves have planted sentry plants to help guard their hidden pathways. These giant plants can launch their thorns with a range and accuracy to rival any archer, and often serve as hiding places for the elves themselves. To make it through this forest valley, you must destroy three sentry plants.

Elf Patrol
The path through the forest valley is narrow and winding. You suspect it was created by the elves that live here to help funnel and trap any outsiders trying to sneak through the woods. You can see light through the forest ahead. You can escape unscathed if only you can reach the exit without being overwhelmed by the elvish warriors patrolling the path.

Canyon Crossing
The mountain chasm before you is coated with ice. It’s not quite impassible—especially for those who can fly or teleport—but its magic is a barrier to your ally Chandra. There is a mystical bridge, however, on which she can walk across the chasm. In order to bring the bridge to life, you must activate two magical stones: one on this side of the chasm, and one on the other.
Chapter 3: Breaking Free

Incursion
A floating magical wall of swords stretches across the mountain pass before you. You suspect that Jace created this barrier, then stationed his minions here to defend it and ensure that other Planeswalkers can’t reach his inhibitor device. To get past the sword, you must activate the magical stone in the middle of the wall. But to reach the stone, you must first deal with the massive trolls that are guarding it.

Dark and Deep
Once more you find yourself in the forest at the edge of Muronia, where the spiders are thick and the webs are thicker. It’s possible that the spiders remember you from your previous visit—and they want revenge. To survive, you must defeat all the attacking forest creatures.

Dangerous Hope
The now-familiar stench of Muronia’s swamps fill your nose. The remains of another one of the region’s fallen keeps rise before you, providing cover to the brutal archers and vampires who lie in wait. To reach your objective on the other side of the swamp, you’ll need to defeat all the enemies between here and there.

Ancient Echoes
The ancient cache of Thran artifacts is full of potential—and danger! One of Lexa’s artificers has gone missing, and it’s up to you to find him before it’s too late.
Looking for Trouble
Daily Mission (Aerona)
Wild Things
The creatures of this forest are usually content to avoid travelers, but have grown strangely aggressive lately. The wolves are a constant threat of course, but it’s the high-flying hawks that you have to truly watch out for. To make the area safe for travelers, you must defeat these unruly beasts.
Objectives
Objective: Defeat all enemies.
Wild Things
The creatures of the forest are strangely aggressive. You suspect that hostile magic is at the root of these problems. To ensure the safety of those living near the forest, you head to the woods to investigate—and keep the forest creatures in check.
Victory!
You have subdued the forest creatures for now, but were unable to find who it is that’s causing them to act so strangely.

Everything’s Shiny
The mountains are full of goblins, and the goblins are full of greed. Led by a wily shaman, the goblins have stolen some magical artifacts in hopes of destroying them to harness their power. To keep the academy safe from goblin mischief, you must collect the four artifacts by triggering each chest with you Planeswalker. But watch out for that shaman—he has some fiery tricks up his sleeve!
Breaking Free
Daily Mission (Aerona)
Stirring the Flames
The pass through the Tonga Mountains is a busy trade route, important to both the people of the mountains and those in the valleys below. A wandering pyromancer has claimed the pass as his personal mystic sanctuary, which is wreaking havoc with business on both sides of the mountain. To restore order to the area, you must defeat the pyromancer and his allies, thus encouraging him to keep on wandering.
Return of the Walker
Daily Mission (Aerona)
The Wild Bunch
The trees are alive! While all trees are alive, the trees in this forest are also very mobile and extremely aggressive, thanks to a circle of druids trying to seal their claim on this territory. In order to keep the forest free for everyone, you must defeat the druids and their leafy minions.
Objectives
Objective: Defeat all enemies.
The Wild Bunch
A circle of druids has claimed a portion of the forest as their own, and intend to extend their holdings into the occupied lands nearby using the living trees themselves! It’s up to you to stop them before their mad plans can bear fruit.
Victory!
The druids are scattered, their plant and animal minions are returned to normal. Because of your magical might, the lands around their forest are safe for now.
Full Circle
Daily Mission (Aerona)
Dreams of Dragon Fire
The people of the mountains visit their sacred shrines on the highest peaks only on the holiest of holy days. The last time they ascended to this hallowed ground, the found the shrines had been turned into a hunting ground for the local dragons. To keep the peace between the people and their dangerous neighbors, you must enchant the shrines—by triggering them—to keep the dragons away.

Dealing with the Dead
Since the old necropolis sank into the swamp, it’s no longer used for burial rites, but has become a haven for death magicians and the restless dead. Like a rat catcher who must routinely sweep the gutters for vermin, it’s fallen to you to clean out the swamp. You must destroy any undead creatures you find.
Objectives
Objective: Defeat all enemies.
Dealing with the Dead
There has always been talk of strange sightings and unearthly sounds from the region of the old necropolis. But now there are reliable eyewitness accounts of the hungry, angry dead returned to life. You decide to check out these reports for yourself, and deal with any graveyard unrest you might find.
A Call to Arms
Daily Mission (Terisiare)
The stone shaman of Yavimaya has a long memory and a heart for vengeance. Face his challenge, but beware of his ferocious minions.
Objectives
Objective: Defeat the Stone Shaman.
Shaman’s Revenge
When you secured the seeds of life from the Stone Shaman of Yavimaya, you knew there would be a price to pay someday. Now that day has come, and the shaman has tracked you down to take revenge for your invasion of his realm. You must defeat him quickly, before he annihilates the area in his fury.
Victory!
With a final hurled curse, the stone shaman fades from sight. You have soundly defeated him again, but suspect that you haven’t seen the last of him.

Garruk Wildspeaker summons Elvish Archer.
Garruk Wildspeaker attacks Hellion for 5 damage!
Hellion counterattacks Garruk Wildspeaker for 40 damage!
