Happy Leap Day! Back from MagicCon Chicago and time to do some catching up.

Added:

  • Murders at Karlov Manor story, official audios, Planeswalker’s Guide, and Legends of articles have been added.
  • The Lore of Jumpstart on the Cards has been added.
  • Chef’s Surprise (the Asmor story) can now be read online.

Updated:

  • Some Mothership stories restored! Hits like Praise the Worldsoul, Shadows of Prahv, and Bloody Instructions have been added back to the Mothership. Rehosts of these on my site have been deleted and redirects now lead you to the restored, official versions.
  • Rehosts continue. Encyclopedia Dominia, the Acclaim site, and Coldsnap-era web fiction specifically. Less than 20 items remain.
  • Urza & Mishra manga. Will be compiled shortly following translated release of the final chapter.
  • Planned magazine restructuring. To keep things consistent across medium types, magazine articles will be hosted at similar subaddresses as other content. For am example, see Visions Told at /magazines/the-duelist-15/visions-told. Directories keep things organized, and redirects keep previously saved bookmarks operational.
  • More odds and ends. The Lore of Jumpstart on the Cards and other smaller story articles have been added. We need the Tinybones lore!

  • Ghosts of Our Past! The remaining Murders at Karlov Manor stories arrive in January.

Updated:

  • Game pages are here! Similar to book pages, they act as mini-portals to all of the associated material from the game. Check out the Magic 2015 — Duels of the Planeswalkers page as an example.
    • Games currently without pages (Sega, Battlegrounds, Legends, Spellslingers, Arena) require quite a bit of research and collection to present their content. I’m hopeful.
    • Did you know you can play Battlemage inside an Archive.org browser emulator?
  • Continuing to edit description preview blurbs and optimize images for earlier entries.
  • Continuing to rehost archived content. Less than 50 pages remaining for currently-linked entries.

Added:

  • Planeswalker’s Guide to The Lost Caverns of Ixalan and The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander Packaging and Inserts.
    • Only note for this is the Antifex named Vona de Iedo in the main story is instead named Vona de Illado in Clavileño’s insert text. Same character, we’ve seen these kind of draft names slip through before.

Updated:

  • The author for Pawns has been updated to Miguel Lopez, as that byline error is now corrected on the Mothership.
  • Anthology story titles have been updated to indicate the source anthology.
  • All anthology novels currently listed have been given proper book pages!
    • Sorry to the fans of Secrets of Magic and Shadowmoor. Those remain in the queue but they will be added soon.
  • Sample chapters have been added to a small number of book pages. These were originally available on Wizards.com before the 2014 site redesign.

Pending:

  • Official audios for The Lost Caverns of Ixalan stories. As Wizards employees have confirmed these are in process, they will be added to each story entry upon publishing.

  • New featured stories for the Halloween season!
  • Vito, Malcolm, and Vona’s full names have been updated per new stories.
  • Yawden has been added to the Planeswalker filter. He was missing and nobody noticed.

Added:

  • The Planeswalkers page is now live! Check the current sparked and desparked status of every named Planeswalker along with their last story appearance or mention.

Updated:

  • Image optimization for older content.
  • Edited description preview blurbs for earlier story and lore entries (1993-1994). This will be a slow process moving forward, but should more accurately reflect the content.

Added:

  • Wilds of Eldraine Commander Packaging and Inserts and Ten Stories Tall, the unofficial “side story” content for WOE.
  • The story Beneath the Surface from Oath of the Gatewatch is now in the story catalog after a helpful user noticed its absence and contacted us.
  • Official Audio links in description are clickable to open the official audio narration.
  • A dark/light mode toggle is now available on desktop and mobile.

Updated:

  • Quintorius Kand is now a Planeswalker Character instead of Non-Planeswalker Character, per A First Look at The Lost Caverns of Ixalan.
  • All magazine, comic, and webcomic viewers have been shifted to Archive.org for centralization and ease of access.

  • The new Random Story button is now available in the top menu. The direct link can be copied for bookmarking reasons or otherwise.

Added:

  • Adrift is a short collection of fan stories and art themed around Planeswalkers who have been forgotten, stranded, or fallen through the cracks of history.
    • If you completed the request form with both your name and mailing address, your printed copy is on its way via USPS First Class mail.

Updated:

  • The Fanfiction page has been visually updated and now includes both the Adrift and Theros: Beyond Death collections.

  • Story Timeline: Published Order | Magic Origins to Present provides a useful “reading order” timeline.

Updated:

  • Image caching issues have been fixed to improve page load times.
  • Story link audits have been performed for content linking to the Mothership due to a few additional articles having been added or removed in the time since their site update.
  • The Mailchimp links for The Gathering Storm chapters did expire, so those texts are now rehosted and include links to original archived pages.
